Existing Data:

Analysis & Visualization

Do you have existing data, but no time to do anything with it?

We'll bring your data to life with analysis and data visualization services. Data will be analyzed and presented in a visually understandable way to facilitate discussions between decision makers at your institution.

For example, we'll carefully convert your manual, electronic, or video data to an

insightful presentation which will facilitate your husbandry decisions.

Video Coding

Do you have existing video that needs to be coded?

We'll work with your preferred ethogram (or one that we create together), convert your existing video to data (coding), analyze the data, and present it in an understandable format.

Need to create video?

Contact us to discuss your equipment needs.

Baseline Behavioral and/or Space-Use Data

Trying to solve a problem, but don't know where to start?

We can collect baseline data on site or remotely (via video). We'll work with you to consider your needs, location, and budget. We're well versed with ZooMonitor and can use either our device or yours to collect data.

Do you have volunteers or interns? But, don't have the resources to train and certify them?

We can work with you on a training process and  materials to ensure they get the training they need. We can also hold workshops to "train your trainers". Our goal is to ensure your volunteers are qualified to collect data via inter-observer reliability testing. (This ensures your independent volunteers or interns have a high level of agreement and consistency in their data.)

Comparative Studies

Do you need to make a change and measure its effectiveness?

Let's work together and create a practical comparative study to help you measure progress.

Whether you're trying to reduce a stereotypic behavior or attempting to increase a natural behavior, we'll help you measure the effectiveness of your efforts.

Enrichment Evaluation

Are you trying to evaluate your enrichment program?

This could mean transitioning from an object based program to a behavior-based program OR evaluating existing enrichment items against pre-set criteria. No matter your goal, size or scope of the project, a practical overlay will ensure we design a project that operates within your time constraints and budget.

Why is Wildlife Advocacy Group qualified to help with your welfare projects?

Adrienne combines her animal welfare science experience with consulting experience and analytical skills from her previous career. She has collected behavioral and space-use data on 12 different species representing primates (great apes & monkeys), big cats, pinnipeds, birds, reptiles, and a giant anteater. Some projects fed into overall welfare reports while another was a comparative study aimed at reducing stereotypic behavior. Projects have been for both solitary animals and social groups of up to 9 members. Additional experience includes video recording, video coding (converting video to data), data analysis, data visualization (making it easy to understand), and understanding the behavioral goals of enrichment.
